Apple WWDC Wish List 2024 🧞♂️ (Updated May 22nd 2024)
Bugs and features I'm hoping to see fixed and implemented for WWDC in June of 2024.
- Apple Search Engine (privacy focused alternative to Google and functional alternative to Duck Duck Go)
- Keychain passwords in dedicated "Passwords" app for all platforms
- Terminal: True colors
- Swift + iCloud Cloud Functions
- Contacts: Smart Filter for profile images
- Easier linking between Mail, Notes and Reminders (iOS 17 fikk linking mellom notater)
- Text: Have to press ⌘ + ctrl + space twice to insert emoji (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- HomeKit: support for robot vacuum
- Maps: support for biking in Norway
- Change the name of Stocks app (since it supports Crypto etc.)
- Shortcuts: Bug with filter notes on tag. Always returns same wrong notes (filed radar fall 2023)
- Reminders: Smart lists not working with shared lists
- Reminders: archive lists, instead of delete (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- Reminders: Increase max width of sidebar (november 2023)
- Reminders: Rich preview of the new Notes link format: applenotes:note/84a49ca8-ffff-4e90-xxxx-a070fd4effe7 (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- Notes: Support for simple calculations
- Notes: Link to a Freeform board (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- Notes: Menu option to copy direct link to note (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- Notes: Bug with note linking. Often have to link it twice for it to work (filed radar fall 2023)
- Notes: Increase max width of sidebar (november 2023)
- Notes: Be able to change the name of the Notes (Inbox) folder
- Notes: Support for LaTeX in notes (like Pages, Keynote and Numbers) (filed radar may 2024)
- Freeform: Link to a note in a Freeform document (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- Freeform: Support for folders/groups (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- Freeform: Add images from a cloud sync folder (now it doesn't add the image, just a cloud web link preview) (filed a radar August 1st 2023)
- Freeform: Better flow-chart functionality. Like Mindnode (may 2024)
